Mark of the Sylph - Rosalie Lario The book/story had me right up to the origin of the sword.A really entertaining couple set for hotness in the bedroom and puppy eye love. Mix a room full of hybrid half demons, who are incredibly handsome, add some interesting shifters and hey presto what can go wrong.Well at this point the author decided it would be a great idea to combat the most evil of demon items with a mythical sword that has been in so many books I can't even begin to count them. The storyline went from Urban fantasy to Arthurian Legend and it just didn't gel at all.I felt the Sylph element and what happens to Taeg could have been delved into more deeply. That sub-plot was left up in the air a little. The implications of his choice in regards to his relationships and how he protects his family for instance. If you take that aspect out of the book it is story with solid characters and plots that will entice the reader. The characters have the right combination of wit and brawn to reel in the reader. If the author adds more substantial plots and steers clear of the more cheesy elements then I think this could be a strong series. Other than that one tiny mishap this is a series that holds a lot of potential for further books.I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley.
